Thom Harris Design

Hello world!

Well I’ve finally gotten around to redesigning and updating my website. It’s been a work in progress (and procrastination) for some time and couldn’t have done it without the assistance of Ryan Baudoin (programming) and Barbara Harris-Sadaat (writing). Thank you Ryan and Barb! Still tinkering but this is my first blog entry. More to come.

I really like the “world of Thom.” His creative talent ranges from zany to crisp & clean; bold business-speak, to touching sentiments. His 4th Grade teacher informed me he had artistic talent and saw a future for him in creative arts. She had an eye for Thom’s talent back then, unrealized by his parents.

It’s been a joy to watch his natural and academically accredited creative talent unfold over the years. The tears of frustration he caused me those early years when we dubbed him “Thom the Bomb” today bring tears of joy. He keeps the family “in stitches of laughter” with his wisecracks, his comedic monologues, and his now famous birthday cards with a collage of photos.

You have a great site. I wish you lots of luck and many rewards from your talent and efforts.

    Love, Mom

Thom, your site is a credit to your firm and your industry. Baton Rouge is profoundly fortunate to benefit from your talents and services.

    Keep up the good work.

Great website Thom! Awesome logos! I love seeing some of the work you’ve done – it’s really terrific! Keep up the good work!

Yeah Sarah, I’m going to mess with the font size and maybe take away the fly-out menu for Portfolio. Although I see it displays better in Safari than Firefox.

Seattle misses your talent and bigger than life persona! Baton Rouge is fortunate to have your local energy, expertise and creativity. I hope you’ve found a new restaurant for incredible meatball sandwiches. You will never replace the lunch club but we live on and our influence continues to inspire and influence your designs.
You are taking it to the next level – BAM! Seattle is a huge fan of your work – keep on rockin in the free world Thom.

It was a delight to see some of your designs. I always knew you were talented, I just didn’t know your design skills were so diverse. Everyone could benefit from your creativity. Keep up the good work.

Nicely done Mr. Harris. I’ll need some design service for calling cards after I retire. I’m thinking of a “Man of Leisure ” theme. I’ll leave the details to you!

Just checking up on the progress you’ve made, Thom. I see you’ve added to your portfolio sections — all great! Liked your Print Intro, too. Can’t remember first one; maybe no changes in text occurred. Anyway, just wanted you to know how neat it all looks. Oh, I do agree with Sarah…larger font helps old eyes; but realize smaller is more “artistic” than larger in the “setup.”

  • Thom - August 19, 2010 @ 9:25 am

Hey Mom, I bumped up the font a point size but a lot will depend on your the browser you use. Gary can also change your settings so fonts display easier.

    Fidel, I’m all over it.
